Laser processing applies to injected soles, leather soles and regenerated leather: marking, engraving, custom decoration.

Laser engraving on soles serves various purposes: it ranges from laser marking of sizes and logos post-injection or post-cutting to generic or personalized decorations upon request from your end customer.

Laser processing on leather or rubber, thanks to its flexibility, allows for quick modification and change of decorative patterns without any machine setup. The process takes only a few seconds to execute: therefore, it’s essential to equip with suitable machinery that ensures high productivity without compromising operator safety.

SEIT laser systems are available in various configurations according to your needs, ranging from fully automatic ones for piece loading and unloading to more compact benchtop options for those looking to start in this process.

Engraving vector or bitmap logos on soles has been a well-established practice for many years, but to achieve competitive results, a proper balance between cutting power and laser spot size must be chosen. These two elements determine production costs and the quality achieved.

The laser cutting machine with lower powers, around 30 watts, can easily cover standard marking needs (logo and number), but to increase productivity, it is often advantageous to use systems up to 150 watts, especially for automatic lines.

The optical configuration provided by SEIT allows for spot sizes of 130µm for CO2 lasers and 65µm for UV and green lasers.

In addition to decorations and markings, lasers also enable some functional uses, such as channel engraving or creating niches to insert studs, plates, and other decorative elements.
