Information about hardening blades through induction heating

The induction heating internalizes the hardening process of the blades, aiming to achieve a hardness between 52 and 55 HRC.

The heating was performed using a Platinum HF2 generator at maximum power (approximately 2.2 kW) and a temperature control set to 800°C. The piece is heated through induction using a V-shaped single-turn inductor. For cooling, the blade is immediately immersed in oil for rapid cooling. The correct execution of the hardening process is verified through a break test: the tempered blade, fixed in a vise, is broken with pliers. A clean fracture indicates successful hardening.

Your ideal product is a direct result of aligning your needs with our advice.
