This process highlights brazing a sintered metal plate to a fixed contact. Silver brazing ensures durable connections, enhancing conductivity, wear resistance, and thermal stability, even in tough conditions, while resisting vibrations for greater reliability

Rapid and precise heating ensures uniform melting of the alloy while reducing the risk of distortion.
PTT (power, time, temperature) programs ensure absolute repeatability, delivering consistent and high-quality results.

Information about brazing of silver plate on power contact in copper

Induction brazing optimizes the process to ensure durability, conductivity, and wear resistance, enhancing the reliability of electrical connections.

In this application, a sintered metal plate is brazed to a fixed contact using a silver-based alloy using a medium frequency induction generator with 25kW of power.

Details of the brazing process:

  • Generator used: Medium-frequency Platinum MF25
  • Power settings:
    • 100% for 21 seconds
    • 70% for subsequent heating
    • 35% for final adjustment
  • Inductor: Closed, 3-turn inductor
  • Temperature monitoring: Platinum HT reader (range 400°C to 1500°C)
  • Target temperature: 800°C
  • Brazing alloy: Silver-based paste with a working temperature of 750°C

The application performed ensuring a strong and durable bond between the materials.

A high frequency Platinum HF6 generator was used in the process: with a heating time of 5 seconds it is possible to bring the piece to temperature and dispense the correct quantity of alloy. An open inductor was used for the process. The temperature was monitored using a thermal image camera.
